Our Focus

The Expression of Anger Through Art Effective Communication Experience

The 8-week Expression of Anger Through Art Effective Communication Experience helps adolescents and young adults develop awareness of behavioral and emotional responses when facing challenging situations by understanding the physiological indicators that elicit anger to apex. The ATT measuring tool is also outlined in the program.

Attitude

Youth are encouraged to gage the temperature of how they are feeling? They must look at and consider all other things that are going on and to what degree it is impacting them currently? The importance of this component is, for the youth to place emphasis on ensuring balance in as many situations as possible to achieve desirable outcomes.

Trauma

Youth are encouraged to ask themselves; have I identified and accepted my past and the things I have experienced? Have I started and/or am I ready to do self-work? This section will allow the youth to distinguish and determine what experiences are scars versus scabs. UnMask Youth Program refers to a scab as unhealed and fragile or delicate and will cause discomfort if left untreated or if handled in a herculean or strenuous manner. On the other hand, a scar is fully healed and does not cause discomfort.

Triggers

Youth are encouraged to explore things that make them explode? If the youth can identify and are aware of the things that cause anger, they can be in control how they respond.

The PURPOSE of Our Program
